I seem to have the same issue, although it is not as frequent as TC's problem.
I think this happens once a week; I get the notification "We need to fix your Microsoft account. After entering a PIN which even though I set it up I don't use it for logging windows 10 microsoft account problem we need to fix free download I get the message "All accounts are working correctly. Unlike TC, I can trace the start of my issue to when I installed the new build update, build I do not believe this is a timing issue as TC suggests, since the most recent instance I got of this issue was a few hours ago, and my laptop has been on since this morning.
This is more of a slight annoyance to me, and I can live with doing this once a week, but I would appreciate it if you would address this issue as expediently as you can. Also, my file associations got reset I'm still working on finding what's been damaged, and fixing them. I remember a few months back a windows update reset all my windows explorer folder customisations.
When an operating system loses it's ability to retain user preferences, that's an extreme design flaw. I will be ignoring the 6 "An App default got reset" errors everytime windows starts now - along with any other errors that future windows updates will cause - I have lost all faith in windows now. Dear Microsoft, Please fix the notification error "We need to fix your Microsoft account". Many thanks.
I have the same question Report abuse. Details required :. Cancel Submit. Hi Jaxom. How satisfied are you with this reply? Thanks for your feedback, it helps us improve the site. Heya Greg, Wow, thanks for such a prompt and detailed reply I'm somewhat limited in what I can process and comprehend now-a-days TLDR: I'll go with option one - only if you can confirm it won't stop auto-updates plz?
Is this what you're referring to as a blanket silencing fix? Or will that stop auto-'app'-updates? I recall the dramas and days of re-customising things to get back to "normal" I don't want to have to re-enter credentials, etc and see my final point below 4 The result of this analysis program is "Can't connect to the synch service might be an internet problem, try later ".
Perhaps it's an out of date program? Realisatically, I'll probably just continue to ignore the erroring notification ; Final point; I guess the bottom line is I shouldn't have to fix something I didn't break - with a whole lot of techno-babble that despite my history with data centres, web development, etc is now beyond my ability to comprehend.
Hi Jaxom - This is a Microsoft website but it's mostly a peer forums where volunteers try to resolve your problems. System Restore is your first line of defense if Windows ever malfunctions as it can run even from recovery media to get you back before a problem started.

Thanks for your latest reply which I read thoroughly - as I did your previous reply ; Option 1 has resulted in the notification 'badge' app icon language not showing "1", but if I click into the notification panel, the error still shows there.
I really didn't like having to re-enter credentials whilst windows was restarting - it looked like a reinstall was happening. Thanks again Greg - we might have this nailed once the update installs I'm glad to help. Keep me posted on your progress as I will be here to help until the case is resolved. I suggested to do the Repair Install because it's the most stable method to change to the new version, is a low-impact reinstall that saves your files, apps and settings while at the same time solving most problems.
I have suggested it to countless others and it almost always works. If it is throwing an error after the Repair install then we will fix the error.
