Joined Jul 4, Messages 12, I've just found this rod in amongst my tackle I did not know I had, don't know where it came from or when I got it. Does anyone have any info on this rod? How old it is, if it's shakespeare mach 3 xt 12ft feeder rod free download good and what it was designed for? I was hoping it would be a light match rod but it seems a bit pokier than that.

Then found this when sorting through tackle. I think I'm going to give it a try this week when I fish the waggler again. The Mach Pellet Wagglers are very sought after and superb rods and there are plenty of anglers on here that have these and the other rods in the range. Use one of mine for margin fishing for lumps and had a fair few high teens and low doubles on it.
Couldn't find much info on them online so was going on what I could tell. I love my 20 year old Shakespeare Tetra Avon rod I have been using for feeder fishing all winter but as I won it in a match many years ago I have no idea about it and had that down as a budget rod too. I think I have always had the wrong idea about Shakespeare rods and they're actually quite decent.
If you afford it I'd get the acolyte ultra and the plus, the carp waggler action is not very nice in my opinion.
