I just did a bunch of testing, for the past 15 minutes ahahand it turns out All was well in Safe Mode with Networking I realize that the Audio service is disabled in Safe Mode. I uninstalled and deleted the drivers for Conexant. Windows re-install generic HD Audio drivers, and all works well now! I have the same issue, but didn't find any helpful links via google.
